Husam Abed je jordánsko-palestinský hudebník a performer, který propojuje svět hudby, divadla a loutek. Jeho tvorba osciluje mezi ambientem, folkem, elektronikou i hip-hopem a zkoumá témata exilu, identity, paměti a absurdity moderní existence. Z pražských klubů až po ammánské kavárny přináší Abed zvuk, který bourá hranice - kulturní i lidské.

Ve své sólové tvorbě dává Husam Abed vyniknout hře na oud, lyrický arabský hudební nástroj. Spolupracuje také s dalšími českými či slovenskými umělci a umělkyněmi, například s elektro bubeníkem Cyrilem Kaplanem či umělkyní timmi (Adriánou Vančovou).

Tato akce, podporovaná nadací Anna Lindh Foundation, přináší Sounds from the Grassroots a představuje skutečné příběhy a spojení sjednocující naše komunity.

Husam Abed is a Jordanian-Palestinian musician and performer who combines the worlds of music, theater, and puppetry. His work oscillates between ambient, folk, electronic, and hip-hop, exploring themes of exile, identity, memory, and the absurdity of modern existence. From Prague clubs to Amman cafés, Abed brings a sound that breaks down boundaries – both cultural and human.

In his solo work, Husam Abed showcases his playing of the oud, a lyrical Arabic musical instrument. He also collaborates with other Czech and Slovak artists, such as electro drummer Cyril Kaplan and artist timmi (Adriána Vančová).

The concert will take place as part of the Sounds from the Grassroots program on the Day of the Mediterranean organized by the Anna Lindh Foundation.
